![]() We’re processing a refund for you and that’s what this is. When I asked if they file a police report and what happens to the person and all this stuff, (out of curiosity and from a place of moral justice I guess) the message they relayed was essentially like this: “Apple handles this. I’m in treatment and it’s all chill and we’re all good. I get “acquisition amnesia” when I don’t sleep. I don’t know why I stretched the truth and said “a LOT of money”. Reading it back now I’m thinking “wtf why does it sound like I’m gonna file a lawsuit myself over a few hundred bucks? Who wrote this?” It’s not even a lot of money- it was $300. I’m just literally a crazy person, have not slept in 2 days and as a result have too much time on my hands. Nooo I’m not worried about prosecuting at all. In fact, I've had a couple dozen situations where I've had to make a return trip to the Apple Store to drop off because somebody was not available.Īlso, with each order having its own specific code for phones, or what ever other devices Apple customers are buying, tracking down the order will be easy once the item is activated. Someone has to take possession of the order. At no point are we allowed to leave the order at the door. ![]() ![]() If it's going to an apartment or house, the recipient or family member can take possession of the order. If it's going to a business, the receptionist can take possession of the order. If it's going to a hotel, a concierge or front desk agent can take possession of it. Once all the orders have been scanned we leave the store, head to the destination, and go to the delivery location. The bags are usually sealed, but not always due to not always having enough available seals on site. We wait for the personnel to bring our orders to their station, and then the orders have to be barcode scanned by our phones. It starts with getting a notification to go to the Apple Store, Again, I’m going to file a complaint, I am just wondering if anyone can offer any advice so the driver can’t get away with this.Īs a driver who's delivered several thousand of these Apple products for Postmates over the years, maybe I can walk you through a whole delivery. A few minutes later, their car icon was gone.Īny help is greatly appreciated. I can see the name and picture of the driver. drive from where I live when I got the initial text it was on the way (and I took a screenshot). Through the link I received, I saw driver was en route and their car was about 20 min.I would have seen on the cameras if the carrier handed it to a person that intercepted the package.I have TWO security cameras pointing at my door and in front of my house.I have a doorbell that rings through my entire house. I was by my door at the time the order was marked as delivered. Is there a difference with high-price items? A rep told me someone has to sign for it at the store and they don’t do discrete packaging. Anyone know what is required of driver to confirm this/that they handed it to a person? The details say “a person must be present at time of delivery”. My items were not delivered but my carrier indicated they were. ![]() My “evidence” is at the end of this post. I’m filing a case soon with Apple, (they told me they start an investigation with Postmates when this happens) but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with high-price item failed delivery claims and could offer some wisdom/best practices so I can prepare.
